Eagle BRD Files
Important notes for Eagle users who wish to submit Eagle BRD files to us for conversion.
General Information
We will generate the following Gerber and NC layers as standard.
* Copper Layers (Please see notes on Multilayer PCBs below)
* Solder Resists
* Silkscreens (Please see notes on Silkscreen Layers below)
* Solder Paste Layers
* PCB outline layer complete with any cut-outs that are present
* Excellon NC drill data
Silkscreen Layers
When generating Gerber data for silkscreens from your Eagle BRD file, we will use the following Eagle layers, unless it is specified in the readme.txt file that additional layers are to be used.
* For the Top Silkscreen : L21 (tPlace) + L25 (tNames) will be used.
* For the Bottom Silkscreen : L22 (bPlace) + L26 (bNames) will be used.
** Please specify if you require the bottom silkscreen to be printed on your PCB**
Multilayer PCBs
* Please indicate which Eagle layers are used to make up each Inner Layer.
* Please indicate the total number of copper layers present in your PCB (including outer layers).
* Please indicate the layer sequence (build up).
This can all be incorporated in the readme.txt file. the following is an example …
[ PCB Layer Sequence ] [ Eagle Layers used ]
Layer 1 = L1 + 17 + 18 (top, pads and vias)
Layer 2 = L2 ($GND)
Layer 3 = L3 + 17 + 18 (layer3, pads and vias)
Layer 4 = L16 + 17 + 18 (bottom, pads and vias)
Blind and Buried Vias.
Please inform us if blind or buried vias are present and include the relevant information in the readme.txt file. (Note that blind/buried via PCBs are not currently available with PCBzip.com, please contact our sales team on +353 (0) 7495 60616 or sales@PCBzip.com for a custom quotation)
Additional Layers
We will not automatically check that any other layers (e.g. drawings, etc.) are present.
If additional layers are present, such as drawings, please include the details in the readme.txt file.
For example if a drawing is present, please indicate which Eagle layers are used to make up the drawing.
Readme File
If possible please create a readme.txt file with the details on silkscreen layers, inner layers (if present), copper layer quantity and build sequence, any other layers used to make up drawings etc., or any other relevant information and forward it with your BRD file for conversion.
